The Analyst, Transportation Operations will be responsible for arranging transportation of finished and unfinished goods between Distribution Centers and vendors. This role will also monitor and produce reports, analyze vendor invoices to ensure that agreed rates and service levels are being met, and handle rate quotations.    



  • Arrange transportation for shipments between Distribution Centers and foreign and domestic vendors. 
  • Prepare necessary and appropriate export documentation and pull Certificates of Analysis.
  • Provide shipping instructions to vendors for direct loaded product, ensuring that product is shipped via the most appropriate transport mode.
  • Schedule local and interstate trucking and drayage of containers between Distribution Centers/vendors and ports as needed.
  • Track and analyze transportation activity and prepare reports as needed to include filing of Service Failures to track Transportation Service Provider (TSP) performance. Monitor and verify vendor invoices.
  • File freight claims for damage/loss to shipment and follow up to ensure prompt payment by transportation providers.
  • Resolve issues that may arise relating to shipments.
  • Assist in negotiations with carriers as needed.  Review competitive rates and services and analyze current transportation activities.




  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of domestic shipping


  • 3 years of experience in export transportation or a related field
  • AES filing experience
  • Ability to understand all aspects of issuing international shipping documentation including SLI, B/L Master, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin


  • High School diploma


  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Access
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • 5 years of experience in export transportation or a related field
  • Experience working with Intrra and Cargo Smart transportation software
  • Hazardous Material Certified
