Herbalife is seeking a Category Manager, Software Asset Management to join our Global Strategic Sourcing Team.  In this role, you will track, evaluate and manage a wide variety of software licenses. Furthermore, you will track licensing and usage, including but not limited to server, device, cloud, telephony, storage, middleware, database, business, desktop, and reporting type software.
  • Handle multiple license types, software suites, entitlements, upgrade and downgrade of licenses, management of unallocated software licenses, software counts for reconciliations and software discovery models for normalization.
  • Check compliance to reconcile license usage to plan for renewals
  • Provides on-going support of Herbalife’s entitlement information (all publishers) collection
  • Provides support of external / internal inquires and audits
  • Track purchase records determining license compliance
  • Works with software manufacturers and business partners to retrieve the correct historical licenses / contracts
  • Imports licenses and contracts information into the software asset management tools
  • Performs an inventory of installed software
  • Responsible for the administration, operation of the scanning tool and resolve issues as needed
  • Coordinates the monitoring of data feeds from all the Data Sources
  • Work with Server team to advise on deployment models for most efficient, cost effective licensing
  • Actively participate in software compliance audit
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the inventory and entitlement data
  • Collects information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries and cost comparisons
  • Works with Regional/Global organizations including but not limited to Server Operations, Network Operations, Database Administration groups and Global Strategic Sourcing
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive global Software Asset Management program
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management tools, methodology, and best practices



  • 7+ years of experience of IT Asset Management experience in a global company
  • Effectively communicates ideas in written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effectively build a pipeline of deals and develop the appropriate resourcing plans.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability multi-task various projects and achieve timely results by effectively and efficiently prioritizing tasks and projects
  • Must be results oriented
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate project management skills
  • Team player with ability to work with associates from other regions
  • Able to project authority in group settings
  • Ability to express personal point of view in a constructive and direct manner


  • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related fields




  • 4+ years in contracts management
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
  • IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience
  • Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions
  • IAITAM certification
  • Knowledge of ISO 19770-1
  • Experience with one or more of the following Software Asset Management Tools:
    • IQuate IQSonar
    • Symantec Altiris
    • JAMF Casper Suite
    • Aspera SmartTrack
    • Microsoft System Center
    • Audit support experience
