POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
 
Perform Scheduled, and Unscheduled Maintenance, Repair, Preventative Maintenance, and Installation tasks both on the Facilities, Physical plant equipment, as well as Production equipment, and machinery. Position requires demonstration of competency for all activities that either directly or indirectly affects product safety, and quality.
 
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 
  • Adherence to all Company  SOP and OSHA Safety Rules /Policies, and Regulations
  • Perform Safety / Environmental inspections (as required)
  • Maintain Clean & Organized Work area
  • Actively Perform Assigned PM’s, PdM tasks, Continuous Improvement activities
  • Utilization of predictive maintenance tools (Ultrasonic, Vibration Analysis, Laser Alignment)
  • Proactively look for equipment trends, root causes, variances, develop action plans for, and carry out improvements.
  • Develop projects, and Process Improvement initiatives, put together cross-functional teams
  • Cross-trains Maintenance team on skills as appropriate
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all plant, and production equipment
  • Quickly response and correction of Equipment Mechanical & Electrical issues
  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace defective/worn equipment parts, control devices, motors, belts, etc.
  • Troubleshoot Pneumatic / Hydraulic systems
  • Painting, Carpentry, Sheetrock and Flooring repairs
  • Meeting room set-up and teardown (A/V equipment operation , maintenance, repair)
  • Facility lighting change-outs (Interior, Exterior)
  •  In-Depth knowledge of Boilers / Environmental  Stability Control Room systems
  • Lab Equipment installation / PM’s / Repairs / Calibration
  • In-Depth, Demonstrated knowledge  of PLC’s, use Ladder logic (minor code changes) & related controls, with ability to cross train others.
  •  Perform equipment change-overs / Ability to train others, improve changeover tact times
  • In- Depth, Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Protection systems
  • Operate Machine Shop equipment, Lathe, Mill, Grinders, Drill Press
  • Proficient in use of Welding equipment – Gas/ MIG/TIG
  • Read , Interpret Electrical, and Mechanical schematics, drawings
  • Effective Communication , Shift / Daily Passdown’s
  • Aerial Lifts – ability to train others in safe, and proper use
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment, as a team
  • Positive Attitude, Willingness and Desire  to learn
  • Dock Levellers, Dock Locks, Dock Doors (PM’s , Repairs)
  • Grade level  movement dependent  on demonstrated equipment knowledge, tracked  via Maintenance Training Matrix

Experience:
  • 4 plus years’ experience  as Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Equivalent training / experience in HVAC, Electrical, Electronics, Welding, Industrial Systems technology program
  • Education:
  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology / Industrial Systems
  • HVAC training / Education, License, Certifications
  • Associates Degree in Electrical / Electronics’ field
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Associates Degree – Industrial Maintenance Technology 
  • HVAC License / Certifications
  • Associates Degree – Electrical / Electronics
  • Electrical License
