POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

 

The Manager, Event Video Production will manage and maintain superior professional production standards, to achieve industry best practices in audio visual planning, organization and production, as well as delivery of company messages in an extremely memorable, technically impressive, and highly entertaining experience to world wide event audiences while insuring that each event meets the demands of distributor planning committees, regional stakeholders, and senior management. Position will also continue to find opportunities to be more efficient, effective and economical in our processes.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

 

  • Show Director:  Includes blocking and rehearsing of performances, effects, lighting, video, and music moments as well as overall video coverage of the event. This includes the ability to step in when producer is engaged in other meetings or activities.
  • Show Caller:  Includes developing and live calling of performance, effects, lighting, video, and music sequences at events.
  • Manage the scheduling, procurement, confirmation and management of production staff and crews for events
  • Manage and initiate contracts, insurance requirements, invoices and payments for contractors and vendors
  • Assist and advise in the procurement, confirmation and management of production vendors
  • Confer and pass all technical and RFP requests to technical director 
  • Review video specs and billing as needed.
  • Advise on adjustments to audio and video specs as needed.
  • Oversee preparation, presentation, delivery, playback and management of event video elements.
  • Oversee set up of audio visual equipment and backstage at events.
  • Manage process for presentation and recognition workflow.
  • Establish and manage backstage production processes.
  • Coordinate ordering, managing and delivery of media drives and technical deliverables.
  • Consult and provide trainings as needed to team members or other regions as needed
  • Attend, participate, and advise in production and planning meetings.
  • Up to 35% Travel

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Skills:

  • Thorough working knowledge of all aspects in the audio visual realm
  • Working knowledge of lighting, set construction, staging
  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Ability to function as an effective team member while still delivering results as a manager and leader
  • Effective professional-level presentation & interaction with staff, distributors, senior management, crews, and vendors
  • Computer proficient
  • PowerPoint proficient

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years total experience in the live event space
  • At least 5 years work experience with audio visual equipment
  • At least 5 years live event crew experience
  • At least 5 years experience with live event audio visual set up

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Both PC and Mac proficient
  • Keynote proficient
  • At least 3 years international experience
  • At least 3 years work experience at an AV rental / production company 
  • Some college
