POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

 

The Sr. Analyst, Transfer Pricing will be responsible for assisting with transfer pricing compliance, planning and implementation of specific transfer pricing planning projects, and inter-company agreements (including service calculations) working under the guidance of the transfer pricing senior director. In addition, this individual will work with finance personnel in foreign countries in connection with collecting information, meeting compliance deadlines and assisting with preparing local documentation.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

  • Work with Senior Director and Manager to assist with the implementation of inter-company price changes on a continuous basis, including financial analysis, approval process and appropriate documentation
  • Support the management of local country transfer pricing documentation reports, including information and data gathering, status calls with service providers and internal local and regional team members, and reviewing and editing reports for consistency and strategy around positions presented
  • Supporting the management of local country transfer pricing disclosures ensuring accuracy of information reported and consistency with transfer pricing positions taken historically as well as in other transfer pricing documentation such as reports and APAs
  • Support the transfer pricing senior director and manager with transfer pricing compliance related to BEPS initiatives, specifically country-by-country reporting, master file and local files. As new BEPS initiatives are proposed and adopted, performing assessment of any transfer pricing implications and providing support with compliance
  • Assist with quarterly preparation, review, and reporting of transfer pricing contingencies and reserves along with any additional support regarding these tax matters in the reserve position of the Company as required by the Tax Provision function
  • Assist with allocations required under inter-company agreements
  • Support with updating, maintaining, and implementing worldwide transfer pricing policies
  • Create and manage checklists for deadlines to ensure timely compliance
  • Perform research and analysis to identify changes in transfer pricing law which impact the Company
  • Implementing financial statement adjustments or tax return adjustments to achieve target arm’s length results
  • Assist with transfer pricing audits
  • Support the transfer pricing senior director with documenting functional analysis interviews for various transfer pricing projects, including a global cost allocation study annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Skills:

  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills, applying transfer pricing concepts to differing fact patterns
  • Strong attention to detail with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively (and efficiently) with employees in various countries and departments as well as advisors
  • High level of proficiency with various software programs such as Excel, SharePoint and Word
  • Strong organizational skill set with ability to prioritize, plan, work independently, implement projects and meet quarterly reporting and other deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task effectively, and re-prioritize projects continuously while advancing several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to take direction, glean relevant information, and ask probing questions to complete tasks effectively and in a timely manner in fast-paced environment

Experience:

  • 4-7 years of tax related experience (inclusive of at least 2 years of transfer pricing experience); also willing to consider individuals with at least 5 years of strong finance experience with at least 2 years of experience in economic analysis
  • Background in transfer pricing research (or finance & economics)

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, tax, business administration or other related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior Big-4 or Law Firm transfer pricing experience preferred
  • Experience with conducting benchmarking searches in various databases, such as Compustat and Bureau van Dijk for example
  • Experience working on transfer pricing audits and transfer pricing litigation (US and / or foreign)
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing-related tax compliance responsibilities of corporations (US or foreign)
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, rules, and standards
