POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

 

The Sr. Manager, Executive Social Communications will combine expertise in social media and social content strategy for executives and high-profile leaders, established and emerging social media trends, social media platform best practices, and a global point of view to develop specific and cohesive executive and leadership strategies across multiple social media channels. As a member of the Global Corporate Social Media team, the position will be responsible for development of tone, voice and content execution, as well as providing social media best practices, insights and analysis to high-level executives based on the Company’s overarching global digital and social strategy. The Sr. Manager will develop strategic executive social engagement plans, identify and recommend appropriate platforms for an executive presence, create, coordinate and execute on an executive social strategy, and support day-to-day content and publishing needs. This position will work closely with high-level executives, subject matter experts, Global Affairs, Corporate Communications, HR, Creative Services, and Worldwide and Regional Sales and Marketing teams.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Define, develop and oversee delivery of the overall executive social media strategy and ensure that all activity is aligned with business objectives, global digital and social strategy, and CEO communications plans
  • Act and be recognized as the primary point of contact for all social media matters for the CEO and other executives
  • Develop and coordinate social media content that builds meaningful connections and engages key audiences, while supporting the personal voice and authenticity of key leaders
  • Develop and prepare social media calendars and provide guidelines based competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Support day-to-day social media activity by writing, sourcing, developing and/or proofing content for executive social channels
  • Work with and develop group of content creators (including freelance, agency and internal) for streamlined workflow of content development
  • Develop playbooks, guidelines, tutorials and internal workflows, and conduct 1:1 trainings with CEO and executives as needed to optimize their online presence and enhance the overall company reputation
  • Identify budget needs for ongoing content development (photo and video shoots, etc.)
  • Prepare & present monthly, quarterly and ad hoc metric/strategy reports as needed
  • Conduct regular research and testing of current and new content formats, ideas and applications

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Skills:

  • Digital marketing or communications background, with a thorough understanding of major online media, specifically Instagram, LinkedIn and Weibo, as well as other major social/digital platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, WeChat and WhatsApp
  • Experience developing and implementing social media strategy for CEOs, high-profile executives, public figures or brand leaders
  • Ability to adapt writing and content needs to reflect executive’s personal voice and presence online
  • Must be able to flex between thinking strategically and implementing tactically, when needed
  • Possess a willingness to take initiative and propose new ideas, and be passionate about digital/social media
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills, be multi-task oriented, and creative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to function as a team member and build strong relationships, both internally and with external vendors
  • Flexible and able to react positively to challenge and change
  • Must have high level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Able to quickly grasp new platforms or existing familiarity with Spredfast, Sysomos, Omniture, Google Analytics, etc.

Experience:

  • 8 years of digital marketing or social media experience, with 3 years working directly with CEOs, high-profile executives, public figures or brand leaders, and a minimum of 2 years managing an executive or public figure’s online presence, including blog, social media channels, etc.
  • Experience working across global markets, with the ability to take into account cultural diversity
  • Experience with agency/vendor and project management, including writing and presenting creative briefs

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related degree 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin
  • Familiarity with production needs and process
  • Understanding of direct selling and nutritional products business
  • Graphic design and photography experience a plus, including familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, etc.
