REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of food science and process technology, pharmacy, chemistry and/or chemical engineering. 
  • Ability to lead effectively and concurrently on multiple projects in a goal-oriented, timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment while ensuring quality and accuracy. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with peers, management, and leadership both within and outside the Company. Sensibility to diversity.
  • Proven technical writing proficiency to write and review technical documentation (batch records, SOPs, protocols and reports, IQ/OQ/PQ testing and other technical reports and presentations). 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills on technical and non-technical topics. 
  • Collaborate with peers in a team that values open learning, technical curiosity, and supports development, sharing, and testing of new ideas.
  • Broad knowledge of development and manufacturing procedures gained through education and experience. Demonstrated and applied knowledge of food manufacturing equipment, especially with respect to equipment and processes used to blend powders.
  • Collaborate with peers in a team that values open learning, technical curiosity, and supports development, sharing, and testing of new ideas.
  • Show passion and challenge conventions, drive experimentation, open innovation and technical rigor.
  • Highly skilled at predicting outcomes and solving problems in a practical, timely and collaborative manner. History of achieving positive results and adding corporate value.
  • Ability to navigate a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders. Coach and mentor in an industrial setting.
 
 
Experience:
  • 8 years’ experience in formulation, process scale up and in solving technical problems at a food (preferably powders) industry.
  • Has achieved positive results and adding recognized and quantitative corporate value.
  • Is recognized as a strong technical contributor in his/her area of expertise.
  • Successful track record of completing development tasks
  • Business process orientation including adherence to New Product Process, testing protocols and appropriate Product Lifecycle Management (e.g. Agile) and laboratory notebook documentation.
  • Competent use of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in working in a GMP environment.
  • Experience base in functional areas that interact with R&D such as QA, QC, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

 

Education:

  • B.S. in Food Science, Pharmacy, chemistry and/or chemical engineering or equivalent

 

 

 
 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • PhD or relevant academic specialization in the Food Science world.
